The Quarantine Times
A collection of stories from around the world during the pandemic of COVID-19
The idea I had for this zine started when I went to go grab a cup of coffee, and I wondered how quarantine was going for other people? I decided to reach out to my friends and see if they wanted to submit a photo about their experience along with an explanation. I thought it would give them something for them and me to do, so we wouldn't get bored. As I asked the people I was connected to the call for submissions grew. Four days after the genesis of the project, word had reached from Hawaii to Italy. Being the sole collector of these stories, I saw a WIDE range of experiences from those that submitted photos. It was at this point, that the focal point of this project became less about entertaining myself with a small design passion project, but rather how could I create something that told all of these stories? Now I want this publication to tell the story of how for several months, all of humanity was given the same obstacle at once, and to remember all of those that were taken from us. I think that the bookmark to this experience is one we should all remember once we are past the pandemic: WE ARE ALL EQUAL.
